The Boys of Summer Baseball Training Facility

The Boys of Summer are extremely proud to announce the opening of our new indoor training facility located at 105 Mark Dr. in Cuyahoga Falls. A tremendous amount of work is being done to prepare this building for productive off season training. This impressive facility features 10,000 square feet of unobstructed freshly turfed workout space which can be easily divided into as many as eight 90+ foot long hitting, pitching and fielding lanes. Some fresh paint, and ample lighting provide excellent visibility to ensure player safety. Complete with portable mounds, L-Screens, Tees and all the typical equipment needed to facilitate a successful workout.

The Boys of Summer are firm believers that “you get out, what you put in”. Beginning in November, all of our players put in work to prepare themselves as well as their team for the upcoming Spring and Summer seasons. Our off season programs are supervised by our Head Athletic Trainer Scott Noel and his Assistant Athletic Trainer Matt Noel. Scott a Varsity Baseball coach at Hoban High School, a previous 2 time Mizuno player of the year pitcher and infielder. Matt was a starting catcher for Malone University who majored in Sports Medicine Science. Matt is now now a personal trainer at Velocity Sports and a current Exercise Science Intern. Both Scott and Matt collaborate with professional hitting instructor Marcus Geiselman, and work closely with the the coaching staff and players of each individual Boys of Summer baseball and softball teams.

Typically our off season training consists of two or more, two hour sessions weekly. Each efficient and well planned session focuses on fielding, catching, pitching and hitting techniques as well as the detailed planning and fundamental execution of:

  • Offensive Strategy
  • Situational Hitting
  • Pitch Calling
  • Bunt Coverages
  • Pickoff Plays/Moves
  • Run Downs
  • Defensive Shifts
  • Situational Defense

In addition, the off session training is also used as an excellent team building opportunity. Each Boys of Summer team works out independently, with their own dedicated time to use the entire workout facility. The bonds our players build with each other and their coaches during these sessions ensure they will be ready to play together as a team when season begins.

The Boys of Summer indoor training facility is available to players to schedule for workouts of their own, free of charge when available. The training facility is also available for rent to other local baseball organizations, and individuals for a fee. For more information on this, please contact us at
